With the 2019 NBA Lottery now over, teams will begin to line up their picks for the upcoming draft. The New York Knicks were hoping to have the number one overall pick and the opportunity to draft Zion Williamson; however, the basketball gods had other plans.
The Knicks landed with the number 3 overall pick in the 2019 draft. While there is some uncertainty as what rosters will look like for the next season, one thing is for sure, current Knicks’ player DeAndre Jordan has a high net worth. DeAndre Jordan’s net worth currently sits at $50 million.
DeAndre Jordan’s Career Statistics
For the 2018-2019 NBA season, Jordan averaged a double double for the Knicks and Mavericks with 11 points per game and 13 rebounds per game.
DeAndre has been a consistent starter ever since his third season in the NBA. Known as a rebounding machine, in the 2014-2015 season, Jordan averaged 15 rebounds per contest. Although he has been a notoriously bad free throw shooter, he has shown drastic improvement in recent years shooting 77% from the charity strike last season.
DeAndre Jordan’s Career Earnings
Jordan just completed his 11th season as a NBA professional. Upon completion of the 2018-2019 season, he has totaled nearly $130 million in career on the court earnings. Last season alone earned him nearly $23 million.
DeAndre was drafted 35th overall in the 2008 NBA draft. His initial contract was with the Los Angeles Clippers and it paid him just north of $2 million for three seasons. During the middle of the 2011-2012 season, the Clippers and Jordan agreed to an extension worth $43 million over four seasons. This would be small change in comparison to the offer he signed during the 2015 offseason when he received a four year contract valued at $87.6 million.
DeAndre Jordan’s Net Worth Outlook
Although Jordan is still technically on the Knicks roster, he is currently a free agent. There is no telling what will happen this offseason in regards to signings, draft picks and trades.
Jordan will end up signing with the Knicks or another team this offseason. What will that amount be for? Only time will tell, but most likely it won’t be as much as the $23 million he earned last season.
